ABOUT US

 

This app came about several years ago before I had developed the Great Rides App.  I saw that there was an existing free Great Walks app which inspired me to create the Great Rides App after getting 'disorientated' on the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail which is never good for a cartographer.

 

After developing Great Rides App over three years I was in a position to take over the existing Great Walks app.  After walking all the Great Walks and one paddle trip over a matter of six months to map, photograph and take in the characteristics of the tracks I was ready to launch the Great Hikes App.

 

I rebuilt the old app to make it consistent with the qualities of what users like about the Great Rides App.

The app is 100% kiwi made, and we have spent a year developing it and work full-time on the apps on it for you to enjoy free!
